  • For every few dozen horrifying stories about snakes falling out of a ceiling, we get the occasional story that makes us genuinely happy. This is that story.

Texas woman Courtney Fletcher Bennett posted a video of herself giving her daughter Emma, who suffers from limb loss, a custom-made American Girl doll with a prosthetic right leg — just like the one Emma has. There’s already a diabetic superhero (Captain Novolin, if you were curious, which you should’ve been) and a superhero with hearing aids (Marvel’s Blue Ear). It’s really nice that this little girl has something that she can relate to.

Obviously, it’s impossible to represent every single lifestyle in media. But every time we get the chance to make a kid’s life a little better, we should take it.

What do you think? Is this the most adorable thing you’ve seen today, or do you live on a planet made entirely of playful puppies? Let us know!
