  • Vice President, frequent Onion parody target, and meme star Joe Biden gave us all the warm fuzzies this week when he did something no one as powerful as him has ever done before: officiate the beautiful wedding ceremony of two people who happen to be a same-sex couple.

    On August 1, 2016, “Diamond” Joe Biden made history. Like everything that happens in 2016, the news was broken to the world via Twitter:

  • The wedding, between long-time White House staffers Brian Mosteller and Joe Mahshie, took place in Biden’s house. This is the first time Biden has officiated a wedding, doing so at Mosteller and Mahshie’s request.
