  • Chris Brown is not a good person, no matter how much he grovels for our attention about how bad he feels about the time his career almost ended (because he beat Rihanna half to death). Despite all this, his rabid fans in Team Breezy defend him to the end, go after his victims, and refuse to accept the truth.

The popular R&B singer was arrested — yet again — for assault this week. This comes after his fight with Drake and Tony Parker, the time he punched and threatened to kill Frank Ocean, the time he got in a hit-and-run and got his probation revoked, the time he got arrested for felony assault after he allegedly broke a guy’s nose, and the time he got kicked out of rehab for “acting violently,” and, of course, the time he almost murdered Rihanna. It’s all on his Wikipedia page.

This time, he allegedly threatened a woman with a gun. The woman called 911. Police arrived at the scene, where he denied them entry for 13 hours before they eventually got a warrant and arrested him. In the meantime, he posted a series of Instagram videos in which he vigorously protests his innocence. (The videos have since been taken down, but are still available on YouTube for the time being.) He was released on $250,000 bond.

Go to Twitter, Instagram, or any YouTube video on the subject, though, and you’ll find the worst people in the world defending him — and attacking his alleged victim. “That bitch wants money and/or fame,” writes Nellie “2 REAL” Santiago. “F*ck that white bitch, why in the hell you invite white chicks?? If they dont say you raped them then they say you hited her or pulled a Gun on her?” writes Susan Cordero.

Let’s clear things up. Chris Brown may be guilty or innocent of this particular crime. We don’t know yet. What we do know is that Chris Brown has a documented history of violent criminal behavior, especially against women. Sure, sure, innocent until proven guilty on this particular case… but he’s already been proven guilty on other stuff, so forgive us if we’re a little skeptical this time.
