Love him or hate him, if anyone can claim to be the voice of this generation, it’s Drake. The dude has dozens of hits, and just about an infinite supply of memes — the real cultural currency of 2016. But not even being one of the most famous people on the planet can shield him from dangerous criminals (and no, we’re not talking about Desiigner).
Drake was on tour in Phoenix, Arizona recently when his tour bus was broken into and robbed. Initial reports claimed that $3 million worth of Drake’s jewelry was jacked from the bus. If that’s really the case, this video released by TMZ makes a lot of sense:

That sure does look like a guy who just lost $3 million. Except he didn’t.
Yes, even though TMZ’s video has earned (as of this writing) nearly two million views, it’s just downright inaccurate. The actual victim was Drake’s DJ, Future the Prince. And according to court documents, the estimated value of the jewelry was $400,000.
The suspect, Travion King, was arrested while allegedly carrying a suitcase full of the jewelry. He was later released.
