  • Kanye West remains a prominent artist and one of America’s favorite rappers. His work has helped inspire a new generation of rappers like Chance and Kendrick Lamar. But Kanye’s gotten sort of out of touch. After saying he wants to run for President in 2020, Kanye may be changing his tune.

See, this week, Kanye came out in support of President-elect Trump. This was after Kim Kardashian West, Kanye’s wife, gave her support to Secretary Clinton. Kanye said that he didn’t vote, but if he had, he would have voted for Trump.

This actually rather shocking news comes after Trump repeatedly insisted on a policy of racist “stop and frisk” in inner cities, where he assumed all African-Americans lived. Kanye also told black people to “stop focusing on racism” when the American climate could be leaning back towards racist ideologies. Though to be fair, Kanye did say we are living in a racist country.

Still, voting for a homophobic, xenophobic, sexist racist doesn’t really help matters. Take a look at other bad things Kanye has said/done/tweeted/spouted throughout the years:

  • First, here’s the original Twitter video in which he announces his support for Trump:

  • Kanye says, “Do [sic] anybody feel bad for Bill Cosby? Did he forget the names just like Steve Harvey?”

  • For the longest time, Kanye was one of my favorite artists. He was one of my top five rappers… until now. I can only separate artist from the art so much. Whatever. Run the Jewels takes his spot in my top five and Chance is my new number one. If you need something to calm you down, here’s “Angels”:
