The 24-hour live broadcast on live.ly will tap into musical.ly’s community of over 160 million engaged users who use the platform every day as an outlet to express themselves through singing, dancing, comedy, lip-syncing and more. In June of 2016, musical.ly released its breakout live-streaming platform live.ly, which allows people to deliver live broadcasts from their mobile devices to the musical.ly community. live.ly reached #1 in the iTunes App Store just 4 days after launching in the US and is one of the top live-streaming platforms in the world.
“I couldn’t be more excited about the audience and growth on both musical.ly and live.ly,” said Shira Lazar, on-air personality and founder/CEO of What’s Trending. “We are constantly searching for innovative ways to use social media to give back. I couldn’t think of a better way to use the musical.ly and live.ly platforms and communities. Harnessing the power and voices of young people and together supporting The Pablove Foundation’s quest to fight childhood cancer – with love. “
