Hillary Clinton, the second most disliked Presidential candidate in modern history, has become the presumptive Democratic nominee. Barring the unforeseeable, she will be facing off all summer against Donald Trump, the most disliked Presidential candidate in modern history. (At least with Trump you have the option of ripping his guts out in a video game.) And the crowd goes mild!
I doubt you’re coming to WhatsTrending.com for hard-hitting political commentary. There are literally millions of takes on this floating out there in the internet ether, and we’re not the heaviest of policy heavyweights. So we’ll just say this: disagree with Clinton’s policy positions all you want, call her a war criminal, call her a crook, whatever. Just realize that this is a big moment for millions of women all across the country, and it isn’t the end of the world to let them have this.
Maybe you’re one of the people who still can’t believe Bernie lost. Maybe you’re a disaffected Republican who can’t live with the fact that Trump is their party’s nominee. Maybe you’re an avowed Trump supporter, in which case I probably can’t help you. Hell, maybe you’re one of the four die-hard Martin O’Malley fans left over. Whatever your political beliefs, you must admit it’s pretty amazing that, after 227 years of never nominating a woman for a major party’s Presidential bid, American history has been made — and it’s been made by Hillary Clinton.
Whew! Now that that’s out of the way, here are some tweets! People who feel like they’re stuck with Hillary if they want to avoid the Trump nightmare are tweeting under the hashtag #GirlIGuessImWithHer. Here’s some of the best tweets we found:
