Steve Buscemi, he of the soul-piercing, baggy eyes (that he’s had his whole life) and the hilarious Fifty Shades of Buscemi trailer, is once again the subject of a viral internet story that he had nothing to do with.
This time around, it’s Buscemi’s unnerving image that’s getting all the attention. Wisconsin man Kevin Manion drew the internet’s attention this week when his sister tweeted about a prank he pulled on his family:
The tweet has been retweeted over 30,000 times. According to BuzzFeed, Kevin replaced a different family photo with one of Buscemi every day to see “how long it would take for his parents to notice.” Sister Clare told BuzzFeed that their “dad noticed [on] the second day but [their] mom didn’t notice until the fifth day.”
For his part, Kevin seems to recognize the importance of his prank:
For a guy with the Twitter handle “@Quehoodrat” whose bio says he’s from “Squadalajara” (that’s a weird way to spell “Wisconsin”), he does have a good sense of self-awareness.
