While filming on the set of their mother/daughter comedy in Hawaii, Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn decided they’d make a parody of Beyonce’s iconic “Formation” music video. You know, the hit song about black female pride? Yeah, so it wasn’t the the smoothest of moves. According to USAToday, Schumer said they were just “bored on set”. The video is also streaming on Tidal, so maybe Beyonce ok’d it?
So say the least, it is a little unsettling to see two blonde white women lip-syncing to a song celebrating black womanhood, and Twitter had a lot of feelings about it.
Here’s the parody video.
This girl is a little pissed.
And this person loves the #AmySchumerGottaGoParty hashtag.
The music video also features actors Joan Cusack and Wanda Skyes. And there you have it. This is the news of today! What a TIME to be alive! Let us know what you think in the comments below or @WhatsTrending on Twitter.
