We’re about a day away from the highly anticipated Mayweather versus Ortiz boxing match for the World Welterweight Championship. While the internet is all riled up, reports are coming in that there’s still seats available. ESPN’s Dan Rafael tweeted that MGM has been calling local VIPs and offering them free tickets to the fight. The rest of us will have to stick to paying for pay per view — to the tune of $60.
Money aside, people are getting ampted up for the fight. The two contenders trended on Google today as people tweeted their support for their favorite boxer. After all, this is the first time in 16 months that Mayweather will return to the ring, and if he loses, this will be the first mark on his perfect record. (Perhaps because he refused to go up against Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao? Or is it the other way around? )
