Now, it’s no news that Republican Presidential hopeful, Rick Perry, has had a few stumbles during his attempted trip to the White House. But, with his latest campaign ad going viral on youtube (exceeding 3 million views), Perry has found a new level of hatred, one that only the internet can delve out.
As of the writing of this post, Perry’s “Strong” commercial is the second most-disliked video on youtube – second only to the king of dislikes, Justin Bieber’s single “Baby” (2 million + dislikes). And, before you ask, the answer is “yes” it does indeed have more dislikes than Rebecca Black’s “Friday” music video.
So, what does this mean? Are the majority of youtubers Democratic? Or perhaps they’re all Mitt Romney fans. I feel like there’s some greater knowledge to be gained here, just can’t quite put my finger on it. Either way, this fact married with the numerous parody videos means that Rick’s youtube persona is in the dumps and needs some serious life support.
Only time will tell if youtube views/likes translates to votes, but we’ll have to wait till next year to find out, and like any good generation-Xer my patience won’t hold out that long.
In the mean time, enjoy the second most disliked video on youtube.
