The world and our bodies are each composed of about 70% water, yet more people in the world have access to a mobile phone than clean and safe water. To spread the word about World Water Day, What’s Trending host, Shira Lazar, spoke to Scott Harrison, founder of Charity Water — a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. On CNN this morning, Romney Communications Director Eric Fehrnstrom was asked if he was concerned that Romney’s radically conservative opinions might alienate more moderate or general election voters, hurting his chances for the candidacy down the line. In response, Fehrnstrom answered: “Well, I think you hit a reset button for the fall campaign. Everything changes. It’s almost like an Etch A Sketch. You can kind of shake it up and restart all of over again.” Needless to say, “Etch A Sketch” is now trending on Twitter.
The number 1 mobile game is now available — in SPACE! The app is described: “Angry Birds Space features 60 interstellar levels on planets and in zero gravity, resulting in spectacular gameplay ranging from slow-motion puzzles to lightspeed destruction. With regular free updates, new in-app purchases, brand new birds, brand new superpowers, and a whole galaxy to explore, the sky is no longer the limit!” While no one has yet to legitimately play the game in space, you can download it for your iPad, iPhone, and Android. NASA even helped to make an announcement for its release.
