Our First Lady of Slay appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this week and gave us an inside look at what an Obama family dinner looks like. This is just the latest appearance in the FLOTUS’s ongoing media tour; Michelle also killed it on James Corden’s carpool karaoke and took over a CVS with Ellen DeGeneres.
Michelle said that the whole family has their own impression of the Leader of the Free World, AKA dad, and they all come out during dinner time. She said that Malia usually starts the tradition by asking Barack about his work day, also known as the part where Michelle and Sasha roll their eyes and think ‘oh God here we go again’. Michelle followed up with an on point impression of the POTUS, complete with facial expressions and hand gestures. She said he’s actually pretty into gossip, considering he ‘doesn’t really have a life’. LOL.
She also talked a bit about her friendship with Beyonce, and her casual sleepover at Buckingham Palace where she apparently had some stellar french fries. Colbert seemed surprised that she liked fries, considering her pro-veggies campaign, but explained that its because she likes fries that she has to eat vegetables. Same, Michelle. Same.
