Time magazine’s cover of a breast-feeding 3-year old is causing quite a stir. The debate is all abuzz over whether the cover is appropriate, whether its the right way to start a conversation on over-parenting, or what it may do to the kid.
We were reminded of other famously scandolous child from the 90’s who’s had to deal with the ramifications of being publically naked: the naked baby on the cover of the Nirvana “Smells Like Teen Spirit” album.
“Quite a few people in the world have seen my penis,” said Spencer Elden, now all grown up. He occasionally gets taunts from his friends and still lives as being that baby on the cover (though he also gets press).
