Joe Jackson’s life is one of legend and tragedy. Although he is often credit in helping shape his children into the superstars that they ended up becoming, his strategies amounted to so much abuse. The original Jackson 5 — made up of Tito, Jermaine, Milo, Jackie and of course Michael Jackson, was on legend, but in 1993, Michael Jackson told Oprah Winfrey that their father would threaten to whip them with a belt if they made any mistakes in their act. And they treated everybody right.”

Joe Jackson’s family remembers him on social media, defending his legacy and asking the media to remember him in his better light.
