The United States Postal Service just unveiled their design for their new electric vehicles after signing a ten-year contract with vehicle manufacturer, Oshkosh Defense. Twitter is beyond excited, but you may be asking yourself, why? What could possibly be so interesting about a new mail truck? Well, you should take a look for yourself:

Soon, our current boxy mail trucks will be a thing of the past, and in their place, the most adorable dorky vehicle, that looks straight out of a Pixar Movie with wide, long windows and a short hood.

Twitter’s Reaction

As you can imagine, as soon as USPS announced their plans for the vehicle makeover on Twitter, the truck blew up and began trending almost immediately on the platform.

Brian Latimer on Twitter said, “The new USPS trucks are absolutely adorable.” We would have to agree, Brian.

This twitter user wrote, “This USPS truck is so dopey looking that I cannot help but love it don’t you dare make fun of them they’re adorable and cute in a way only a mother (me) could love.”

Poking Fun

How could you look at such an adorable car, and not want to make fun of it a little bit, right? Twitter is packing on the jokes and they are hilarious, comparing it to everything from tv characters to insinuating it needs a new haircut.

Twitter’s Walter Hickey said, “this looks like a car that would be bullied in the film Cars,” and we cannot help but agree.

Jesse thought the new design looked like a Big Mouth character and this made us laugh a little bit. Nick Kroll, did you have anything to do with this?

Jess Dweck on Twitter wrote, “This is the first time I’ve seen a car that needs bangs.” We could definitely see some 3 am Amélie style bangs.

Andrew Gorton wrote, “The new USPS vehicle design looks like my attempt to draw a truck in first grade.”

I do not know about you, but I am excited to see these driving down my block in the future, especially now that they are electric.
