YouTube’s big sister, Anna Akana, reveals she was in a lesbian threesome.
Anna Akana is a YouTuber with over 2 Million subscribers who is known for creating comedy videos and has turned into a role model after offering advice and life tips in her videos. And now Anna is out and living her truth!
Anna detailed her coming out experience in her video titled “How I Came Out And What My Parents Think”, where she explains her first girl on girl sexual experience. Anna explains the reason she didn’t officially come out is because she hadn’t had a sexual experience with a woman, but then engaged in a three some with two other women.
Anna also explained that she still is attracted to men, but she came to realize that it doesn’t matter where you are on the sexuality spectrum. Though, even before this video, Anna has been dropping hints for a while.
She said she never thought she’d come out publicly because she didn’t want to be demonetized on YouTube (YouTube stinks), but Anna’s friends and followers where very supportive.
Including Joey Graceffa who said, “THE QUEERS STAY WINNING! Love you Anna! So proud of you living your best life and being such an amazing voice in our community!”, and comedian Aparna Nancherla who said “You’re such a bright light in this world, Anna.”
Anna then shows her parents’ reactions which was a huge relief, since they showed nothing but open mindedness and support. This is a very encouraging example of supportive families and nowadays coming out can be a celebration for some.
