Trump’s entire policy seems to be cribbed from the insane, xenophobic promises he made during the 2016 election, and now he is talked with the insane goal of making them come true. Wether it’s not letting Muslim people into the country or doing whatever fascist and monstrous thing it takes to stop immigrants from entering the country (several children have died under his watch in the federally ruled unconstitutional detainment of the children of immigrants). Now the president is keeping the workers for the government without pay with the shutting down of the government in order to intimidate the Democratic run House of Representatives. If you would go by what Donald Trump is saying, this wall is essential because it is the only line of defense against immigrants which, while in real life are normal people trying to make a better life for themselves, in the president’s lurid, bigoted imagination, are a problem to be solved rather than a populace to welcome. Now, there’s one figure however who thinks that if you wanted to bad enough you could defeat the wall. You could climb over it, break through it, dig under it, you could get through it. And who is this figure who so believe the wall is a foolish thing?
Why, it is none other than non-president Donald Trump, I suppose.
The Daily Show has unearthed and presented a surprising clip of Trump giving a commencement speech at Staten Island’s Wagner College, telling the soon to be graduates to never give up and if there’s a wall, why, according to the soon to be president: “Don’t give up. Don’t allow it to happen. If there’s a concrete wall in front of you, go through it. Go over it. Go around it. But get to the other side of that wall.”
