YouTuber Christian Adam G revealed that he was behind the fake cheating photo of Travis Scott. He said his intention was not to hurt anyone, but he wanted to make the point that most stories you see on the internet are mostly never true.
Except this story which is for sure true.
He was inspired by the fake Justin Beiber video that tricked the internet into thinking the Beibs ate his burritos sideways. News station and gossip sides picked up the story and ran with it and it proved to be a hilarious stunt that showed everyone how easy it is to spread fake news.
To prepare, Christian studied Travis Scott’s walk, style and poses, and cut and styled his hair to replicate Travis’s look. He recruited some friends to sneak into a hotel, and posed on a balcony as if he were Travis is another girl
Christian watermarked a TMZ logo onto the photo and let is loose, and of course the internet went wild. In less than 24 hours, Christian saw a random girl on Instagram claim to be the girl in the photo and Christian documents himself feeling confident Travis Scott will respect his prank.
But even though Christian said he was not trying to hurt the Kardashians, unfortunately he did just that. Travis Scott saw the photo spoke out about it on his instagram denying the claim. He said – “trolls always wanna create some fake shit to detroy real love. I pray God blocks out all evil”.
Kylie said “ Idk if this is really a social experiment to some people but you’re messing with real people, real relationships, real family. I’m happy my relationship is strong because this is getting out of hand. The internet scares me sometimes for real.”
Kim also added her thoughts saying: “I hate that I am bringing attention to this but this is absolutely disgusting that you would find this funny to mess with Travis & Kylie who just started a family together. This is really damaging to relationships, families and is just so wrong!”
And Khloe Kardashian added: “People are absolutely disgusting! The mind games this would do to somebody… That is so completely not OK! This person should be so ashamed of themselves! What filth!”
Christian’s video now has over 348K views, and Christian’s channel has 329K subscribers. Unfortunately, this YouTuber is getting dragged for this stunt rather than celebrated. Comments have been overwhelmingly negative, pointing out that the nature of the stunt aimed to ruin someone’s reputation with cheating rumors, not just something more harmless like eating a burrito the wrong way.
Christian responded to the backlash saying “…honestly I don’t care if I ever hit a million subscribers ❤️…. my goal is to not have the biggest number on the site but to have the BIGGEST IMPACT ?…”
