Rapper CupcakKe posted an alarming suicidal Tweet that had many social media stars, including Shane Dawson and Elijah Daniel, jumping into action.
Cupcakke is a rapper who caught mainstream attention after going viral on YouTube and WorldStarHipHop. But she recently posted an alarming tweet saying- “I’m about to commit suicide.”
This caused a lot of people to jump into action, including Shane Dawson who tweeted, “if u know her personally or know how to get in touch with her family please do! i’ve tried but her phone seems to not be working or she has a different number.”
Kinglsey posted, “I just called the police and they said they can’t do much if I don’t know where she lives. They’re looking up Elizabeth Eden Harris. If ANY of her IRL friends or peers or anyone that’s ever been to her crib has not CALLED THE POLICE, PLEASE DO SO.”, and Elijah Daniel said “Anyone who knows elizabeth please please please check on her my texts to her sent green idk if her phone is off but if you have her address please check on her ???????”
Elijah continued to update people throughout the day, finally tweeting this: UPDATE: Police not able to give me anymore details other than Elizabeth is OKAY and at the hospital.
And while many were thankful for these creators’ swift and immediate action, some people did not agree with the public ordeal. Like phaedra parks who said, “can you please respect her privacy and put your phone down”, and Cait who tweeted “cupcakke: im about to commit suicide, elijah daniel: how can i make this about ME”
Though plenty of people came to Elijah’s defense, like comedian Kathy Griffin who said: He’s trying to make sure his friend is safe. Fuck off

Elijah even addressed these concerns saying this: tweets like this piss me the fuck off y’all are all MENTAL HEALTH ✨✨ DRINK WATER ✨✨ 24/7 but when someone is actually literally crying out for help y’all turn to crickets shut up
