Lady Gaga has just gotten engaged and a lot of people are wondering who this mystery man is. Gaga casually confirmed the news in a heartfelt speech at the Elle’s Women in Hollywood event and now we’re deep diving into Gaga and Christian Carino’s relationship.
Christian Carino was born in 1969, which makes him 17 years older than Gaga. Carino is a pretty private person, but here’s everything we could find on the deep web about him.
According to thefamouspeople.com Carino was born in the United States and loved music from an early age. This played a huge part in him being able to work his way to becoming a top agent at arguably the most prestigious talent agency in Hollywood, CAA.
And just for a little context, CAA, or Creative Artists Agency, is known for its intense and high stress/ high stakes culture. The company was started in 1975 after a handful of agents walked out of the then reigning talent agency, William Morris Endeavor, to create a new company which would directly compete with WME. CAA went on to become arguably the most feared and revered agency in the industry, and all that to say if Christian Carino can climb to the top of that company he’s a pretty powerful guy.
While Carino was managing artists, he met and married Brooke Baldwin, and in 1997 and had two babies Isabella and Lola. According to Radar, Baldwin filed for divorce in November 2015 citing irreconcilable differences.

Carino allegedly shared legal custody of the kids and because he was reportedly making $1.35 million a year, Radar listed that he was required to pay $8983 a month in child support. It’s also reported that the couple had multiple California homes, and Carino was only reportedly allowed to keep the Montauk New York home.
In 2016, Carino was briefly linked to Walking Dead actress Lauren Cohan, who is 13 years younger. The two were spotted at fashion events, sporting events, and hanging out around town in Beverly Hills.
Meanwhile, Carino grew his career and managed major stars like allegedly: Justin Bieber, Johnny Depp, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, Bruno Mars…and yes… Lady Gaga.
Carino and Cohan split and not much changed until he was spotted with Lady Gaga at her Super Bowl halftime performance.
Love must have been just starting to bloom, as Gaga was filming a documentary, Five Foot Two, at the time in which she does not mention Carino. Rather, she mentions fighting with her ex fiance, actor Taylor Kinney, lamenting about how as her career grows, her love life seems to implode.
Perhaps since connecting with Carino, she’s finally found someone who can empathize with her monumental level of success.
