Serial Killer Loose In Tampa, Florida?—What’s Going On
Police in Tampa, Florida, are on the search for a possible serial killer after the discovery of a fourth victim.
A string of unsolved murders in Tampa might be connected to the same person. The Seminole Heights neighborhood of Tampa, Florida, has seen 4 unexplained shooting deaths in less than two months.
Three deaths occurred within 10 days of each other. On October 9th, 22-year-old Benjamin Mitchell was waiting at a bus stop alone at about 9 PM, when he was shot dead.
Four days later on October 13th, the body of 32-year-old Monica Hoffa was discovered in a vacant lot, and on October 19th, Anthony Naiboa, 20, was walking in Seminole Heights when he was suddenly shot and killed. The three shootings in October all seemed unconnected and random to police.
At the end of October, the Tampa Police Department were still looking for any information connected to the shootings. Now, police believe the killer has stuck again.
In the early hours of November 14th, the Seminole Heights shooter claimed the life of another victim. Ronald Felton volunteered to help feed the homeless twice a week for almost 11 years. He had just locked up his bicycle before starting his volunteer shift when he was killed. He was 60 years old.
Tampa PD is investigating the death as connected to the other 3, and have been out in full force searching for the killer. Dozens of cars and police officers descended on the area after the shooting was reported, however the killer had escaped. But Police have stayed in the area, posting themselves on virtually every street corner in the neighborhood.
Police believe the gun used in the killings might not belong to the shooter.
