“Sing It!” Reality Show Parody Premieres on YouTube Red
We have Burning Love spoofing The Bachelor, we have Hotwives of Orlando (and Vegas) making fun of The Real Housewives franchise, so it was fairly inevitable that someone would do a parody of American Idol, and it looks like YouTube got to it first. Well, besides all the movies that have already done it.
Sing It! is a half hour scripted comedy by The Fine Brothers premiering on YouTube Red today, featuring a bunch of different contestants competing to be named the best singer. You’ll have to purchase a subscription if you want to see anything beyond that, as YouTube continues to test out how a Netflix-type service with original content will work out.
