Adorably Clueless Dude Buys Kanye’s $1,000 Shoes, Cuts Them in Half
Last time we checked in with Daniel and Lincoln Markham, the guys behind the popular What’s Inside YouTube Channel, they were cutting open an Etch-A-Sketch. But now they’ve upped the ante — to the tune of a cool grand.
In the video above, Daniel Markham buys Kanye West’s Yeezy 350 sneakers in Turtle/Blue-Gray. The shoes retail for $200, but good luck getting them for that price. They’re currently going for over $1,000 on eBay and at least $1,710 on Amazon.
According to the video, Markham spent “a thousand stinkin’ dollars” on his pair of authentic Yeezys. And then he cut them open with a saw.
Don’t worry, though: they had a good life. In the video, he takes them to the X-Games, the Governor’s Ball, and to meet newly-minted prankster Casey Neistat. And all along the way, he seems to be endearingly unaware of what any of this means. I very much doubt this guy has ever intentionally listened to hip-hop. But good on him for being a good sport about the whole thing!
So, what is in Yeezys? Some mysterious soft fluffy stuff. If that’s worth the cost of a new super-high-end computer or a super-low-end beater car, Yeezys are the shoe for you.
What do you think? Was it worth finding out what’s inside Yeezys, or is this a waste of a perfectly good thousand dollars? Let us know in the comments below or @WhatsTrending on Twitter!
