While New York’s Pix 11 reporter, Mario Diaz, was out on the street reporting on Shia LaBeouf’s recent arrest on Friday, Erykah Badu jumped into the frame and disrupted the newscast.
The singer-songwriter, who is also one of Rolling Stone’s Top 50 Tweeters in Music, wore a giant white hat — similar to Pharrell’s famous hat — and opened her coat in the background to show off her outfit. She then proceeded to make an inappropriate hand gesture behind Diaz and also tried to kiss him on camera at one point.
The whole act was highly inappropriate, but luckily both Diaz and Badu got a good laugh at it via Twitter.
Badu went on to perform with Dave Chappelle at Radio City Music Hall that night and then performed at a block party in Brooklyn the following night, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Spike Lee’s film “Do The Right Thing.”
