Terry Conger: Dad, Fisherman, And… A Midwife For Stingrays
Caught On Camera: Fisherman Helps Stingray Give Birth
When Calvin Conger, 18, was out fishing with his family in Port Charlotte, Fla., he caught the surprise of a lifetime: a pregnant stingray. Seeing that another stinger was sticking out of it, he called for his father, Terry Conger, who pushed down on the stingray to help ease its birthing process.
The adorable baby stingray popped out in a matter of seconds.
The entire ordeal, which lasted only a few minutes, was caught on camera thanks to Calvin’s mother, Valerie Conger. (Way to go, Mom!)
A few minutes and this family now has a story for years to come!
