What if Wes Anderson Directed “The X-Men”?
Explosions, epic mid-air battles, thundering orchestral music. These are all things we’ve come to expect from the X-Men movies. But what if Professor Xavier’s school of gifted youngsters were a little more… precocious? What if, instead of an action movie, X-Men was an awkward coming-of-age dramedy directed by Wes Anderson? It would probably look a little something like this:
The video is basically pitch-perfect. The X-Men are already angsty, confused outsiders, so it’s not too much of a stretch to change genres from action to Anderson. But all credit goes to actor/director Patrick H Williams, the genius behind this awesome parody. He’s even getting endorsements from real life X-Men!
