Netflix Orders CGI Reboot of ‘The Magic School Bus’
Furthering their push into original programming, Netflix is resurrecting the beloved educational adventures of Miss Frizzle in a new, computer animated series called The Magic School Bus 360.
The Verge has the important details.
The streaming service will release 26 episodes of the reimagined show, now called The Magic School Bus 360, beginning in 2016.
Hypable reminds us, it’s not the same ‘School Bus’ we remember.
The reboot “features a modernized Ms. Frizzle and her class along with an inventive high-tech bus that invites children on high-flying hijinks that introduce the incredible world of science,” according to Netflix’s press release. “Each new episode promises thrilling discoveries, heart-pounding explorations and relatable humor, while encouraging kids to think critically and creatively to answer questions and solve problems. The series also features the latest tech innovations such as robotics, wearables and camera technology to captivate children’s imaginations and motivate their interest in the sciences.”
The New York Times shows off early concept art for the reboot.
But for all the 90s kids looking to relive the past, there’s always Youtube.
