Jimmy Kimmel Gives Huge Surprise To Burning House Hero
Last week, a mysterious hero saved a man from a house fire in Fresno, CA. He was not identified at the scene, and for days people were looking for the “man in the Dodger cap” who bravely charged into the burning building.
Now, everybody knows who he is. Tom Artiaga is not a firefighter or a rescue worker. He’s just an ordinary man who did something most of us probably couldn’t do — selflessly running into a burning home to save a complete stranger.
Jimmy Kimmel invited Artiaga and his wife to come be in the Jimmy Kimmel Live audience last night, but he had no idea what was in store for him. Kimmel presented Artiaga with a Dodgers jersey with his name on the back, tickets to Disneyland for him, his wife, his three children and six grandchildren, and brought out legendary Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda to shake his hand. They then informed Artiaga that he’ll get to throw out the first pitch at a Dodgers home game next season.
Artiaga couldn’t help but tear up as Kimmel thanked him for his heroism.
