Adorable Fish Given Tiny Fish Wheelchair
We don’t treat fish very well, do we? We consider catching them sport, there’s an entire diet where you eat only them (the writer of this article is a pescatarian, so there we go), and do we bury them in an ornate graveyard when they die? No! We flush them down a big toilet. That is where our poop goes.
Our poop, ladies and gentlemen. Our poop.
So you don’t get no respect if you’re a fish— unless you’re the fish of one Taylor Dean, aquarium worker and social media star. Taylor Dean was given a goldfish with a swim bladder problem — making it hard for the little guy to stay afloat or right side up. Well, not to worry little fish! Taylor Dean is on the case! Taylor built the fish a tiny little wheelchair letting the little fella float perfectly nicely. Little fish! You’re going to be okay! Little fish!
Taylor explained to Buzzfeed how she created the chair, saying —
“I got some airline tubing that people usually use in their tank and just placed it around the goldfish. I added some valves to the bottom of it, which acted as a ‘chair’ to prop him up. I added weights to the bottom of the ‘chair’ and something to keep him afloat on top (styrofoam), and slowly removed pieces until I achieved just the right buoyancy to make it easy for him to swim around without feeling like he’s dragging around a chair.”
Adorable. What do you think of the little fish? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter at @WhatsTrending
