I’m sure that whatever sense of endorphin high that the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody felt after its Academy Award nomination were probably smothered in their seedling form when more men came forward discussing their sexual abuse and rape at the hands of Bohemian Rhapsody director Bryan Singer. And this story hits on a variety of difficult issues, but one issue stands above them all: Queen deserves better, doesn’t it? That band was gay and bisexual glory with stadium rock and some of the most beautiful music your mind could ever envelope. So what’s one person who could tell the story of Freddie Mercury without a problematic overtone? I mean, a lot. But for now, we’re going to have to settle for this parrot sitting on the arm of a doll Freddie Mercury while whistling “Another One Bites The Dust”.

Another one bites the dust

Oh hell, yeah! I am loving this cockatiel’s, cocka…spiel! Truly the story of Freddie Mercury has never been more pure than described through the whistling maw of this beautiful pet bird. At long last, Freddie Mercury and Queen have been saluted, and if the Academy has even a little bit of dignity, they w ill quietly shuffle off the Bryan Singer movie and replace it with this video of the parrot singing. Come to think of it, take away Green Book and replace it with this video of a dog getting its butt grabbed. It’ll be a much more artistically pure show of artistic expression, rather than a tribute to the fact that, holy heck, Hollywood sure loves bad conversations about race and protecting sex criminals who make them a lot of money, don’t they?

Not the dog who got its butt grabbed and screamed. That dog is pure. He just loves to scream.
