VIDEO: YouTuber Arrested for Bomb Threat Prank

Only a few weeks after a YouTuber faked an active shooter situation at Disney World, we again have YouTubers who will willingly cause chaos — the same as shouting fire in a crowded theater and watching people trample each other — for laughs and views. In this case, YouTuber Jammal Harraz, who goes by the YouTube handle “Arab Andy”, lets users pay him money to walk into a situation and then the users can shout whatever they want for a fee.

One user, known only by his moniker, “lebaneseandy”, gave $4.20 (yes, the weed number) for Harraz’s iPhone to announce the presence of a bomb to a classroom of students at the University of Washington. The students can then be seen running out as ironic air drill sirens play from the phone. The events in the video took place on May 31, 2018.

The video, which can be seen above, then shows Harraz quietly walking through campus, as the weight of what he did starts to slowly hit him and he immediately goes into weird denial. Watch the first sixteen minutes of the video, just to get the most stomach-churning portrayal of a man in trouble you will have seen in a long time. Harraz seems to deny what he did was bad, saying that because he didn’t say it, he should not be culpable. He then approaches a bunch of students who evacuated the school and pretends he was not the reason it was evacuated.

This video is crazy, folks.

Eventually, Harraz, who the entire time is being pleaded with by his viewers to run, gets arrested by the police, so then we get to see a live stream of that. I kind of turned it off when they put the phone in his backpack, so if anything crazy happens after that, please let me know.

Harraz is one of many YouTubers who is known as “IRL Streamers”, who allow people to interact with the world they’re walking through for money. Harraz seems to be proud of the money he makes doing this, and according to the police (and honestly the video), he shows little remorse for this. The cops believe, because of the huge amount of money Harraz makes doing this, he will do it again. In fact, he made $200 that day before the stream alone, and $1,000 in the past month.

Harraz is now looking at up to ten years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
