YouTuber and singer Niki Demartino has decided to take a break from posting daily vlogs after a mental breakdown in her most recent video.
The blue-haired singer revealed her struggles with an eating disorder and anxiety back in June. A vlogmas veteran alongside her twin sister Gabi, the pair have always posted videos prompting their viewers to get into the Christmas spirit. This year, Demar started out her Vlogmas strong as she discussed her sister’s cameo in Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next” video. However, by Day 8 of Vlogmas, Demar was overwhelmed. She planned for the vlog to consist of her and her boyfriend/videographer, Nate West, to decorate their apartment. However, she then then stated she was in a bad mood due to the all of the rain LA has been receiving lately.
MOOD. We’re with you, sis.
After treating herself by postmating Dunkin, Demar explained the real reason why she was in such a bad mood. “I’m in a bad mood because of Vlogmas and everything, but there’s also something YouTubers don’t talk about, and that’s the behind-the-scenes. I am not happy at all right now with Gabi and I’s situation, and I wish I could say everything, but unfortunately you just can’t. Just knowing that I’m pulling through for you guys today, and I always will… You guys are what gets me through the manipulative side of Hollywood.” Hmm, seems like Demar may have been throwing shade at LA and its people, not to mention bringing her sister into the conversation. After calming down, she told her viewers that she had the realization that she can do whatever she wants with her vlogmas because it’s her own channel. And don’t worry– she’s not cancelling the vlogs altogether– she’ll be posting every few days or so. Look out for Niki’s the future videos Demar Dolls!
