After having her butt grabbed by a customer, a Georgia waitress tackled the guy and has become an internet hero.

Emelia Holden works at Vinnie VanGoGo’s Pizzeria in Savannah, Georgia. The restaurant’s CCTV footage perfectly captures this guy grabbing her butt as he walks by, and seemingly shocked by her reaction.

The video of her being groped went viral after it was posted to the r/justiceserved subreddit by her cousin.

Emilia later said: “I just did what I felt was best, I took the guy down and had my co-workers call the police.”

Yeah, this guy did not get off with just a toss to the ground. 31-year-old Ryan Cherwinski was arrested and charged with sexual battery, and released two days after the incident on $2,500 bond.

Cherwinski was actually at the restaurant with his girlfriend of over 11 years and their twin daughters. If convicted of sexual battery, he faces a $5,000 fine and up to 12 months in prison. Cherwinski has no prior sexual assault crimes on his record, though he was arrested in Florida in 2016 on a DUI charge.

Emelia told People Magazine: ‘“The guy claimed that he was just trying to push me out of the way and, ‘Oh, I barely touched you.’ Once the police saw the video, they immediately arrested him. There was no doubt that he did it.”

And people online absolutely love how she took action after being harassed.

Emelia says she’s fortunate to work in a restaurant with such supportive management, where the owner told her “That was awesome” instead of “oh, well he’s the customer.”

She hopes the viral video will encourage other women to stand up for themselves if they’re harassed or assaulted. Emelia recognizes that she’s now famous because of this incident, and she’s trying to put that new-found notoriety to good use.

She’s started a GoFundMe page called “Cash For Cats” with all donations going to the Palmetto Animal League, a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue organization.

As of this recording, she’s already raised nearly $9,000.
