Woman Divorces Ghost

We’ve covered women having sex with and marrying ghosts, people claiming they’ve shot ghosts, and now we have the beautiful finale of this spiritual domestic story: people divorcing ghosts. Amanda Teague, a 46 year old Jack Sparrow impersonator in Ireland, has made headline for wedding the 300 year old ghost of a Haitan Pirate, also named Jack. However, as marriages between you and beings you can’t comfortably introduce to your friends (on account that they can’t see him), the wedding has resulted in a divorce, and Amanda Teague and the three century old spirit of a pirate have called it quits.

Amanda announced on Facebook: “So I feel it’s time to let everyone know that my marriage is over. I will explain all in due course but for now all I want to say is be VERY careful when dabbling in spirituality, it’s not something to mess with.”

I’m sure, and I can’t wait to hear the story concocted that could make a marriage with a spirit end. My thought on the matter? Well, it’s hard to sleep with a lover that is so cold (ghosts are very cold!). I imagine that if he’s a pirate he speaks with both “arrr’s” and “booo’s” (for example “Are you done with that book” would be “ARRR you done with that BOOOk” which is very annoying”).

Also I feel like you can’t marry ghosts, and no doubt that stood in the way of something healthy. But I’m a skeptic. Just like Bill Murray, in the best Ghostbusters movie of them all, the one from 2016 with Kate MacKinnon, I too am a skeptic, only believing when Jack the Haitian Pirate Ghost From 300 Years Ago pushes me out of the window in a chair.

The 2016 Ghostbusters is great. Instead of marrying ghosts, let’s go watch the 2016 Ghostbusters. The people who hated it the most are creeps anyway.
