Meet H&M’s First Hijabi Model – #WTFem

Mariah Idrissi is a 23-year-old London woman who just made history for H&M by becoming their first hijabi model – and now she’s getting huge on Facebook as people applaud more diversity in the fashion world.

The half-Pakistani, half-Moroccan woman was discovered on Instagram and joined H&M’s new Close the Loop campaign focusing on underrepresented groups in fashion, including Asian men, elderly women, Sikh men, transgender people, disabled people and plus-sized people.

Idrissi’s fashion styles incorporating a hijab is a big step forward for women’s representation in mainstream fashion – and she looks effortlessly amazing.
