Rapper Casey Veggies performs his song "Roses" and answers questions about his new mixtape, "Customized Greatly Vol. 3" and exciting projects on the horizon.
Having got his start as a founding member of the Odd Future collective -- the same group that gave rise to talents like Frank Ocean, Tyler the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt -- rapper Casey Veggies soon went his own way, releasing a series of acclaimed (and FREE) mixtapes, and also becoming an entrepreneur with the opening of his own clothing line, Peas and Carrots Intl.
Sporting the newest T-shirt from his clothing line, Casey explains how music and style mesh together in his world and how he wants to make it apparent that artists don't have to pigeonhole themselves, but they can do anything that they dream of accomplishing.
And there's definitely a theme here with Casey's brand: vegetables. "Vegetables are good for your everyday life," Casey says. "It's good for your soul...It's just a whole lifestyle thing...and we're having fun with it."
Casey also teases that he's been working on some new songs with the Odd Future crew, so keep an ear out for those.
When asked about Frank Ocean's decision to open up about his sexuality before the release of his "Channel Orange" CD, Casey supportively responded, "Much respect to that man...He's a talented person. He's a wonderful person and much respect to him."
