Nothing compares.

  • James Corden has asked so many artists who join him in Carpool Karaoke if he can perform with them, it was inevitable that someone would actually say yes. Turns out, that someone was Coldplay.

Coldplay surprised their audience at the Rose Bowl this past weekend when they brought Corden out to front a tribute to the late Prince. As soon as Chris Martin uttered the words “Carpool Karaoke,” the audience knew and cheered for what was to come. The song they covered together was Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U,” and while he would never claim to be Prince, Corden did a bang up job with the song while Coldplay provided the instrumentation.

If this is the beginning of a variety of Corden’s Carpool Karaoke guests bringing him on stage with him, honestly, we’re kind of here for it.
