Kylie Minogue reflects on her illustrious career with a hint of nostalgia, revealing one particular regret in a recent interview with The Sunday Times. The 56-year-old Grammy-winning artist, known for hits like “Padam Padam” and “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” shared her thoughts on what she might have done differently throughout her decades in the music industry.

“You could spiral if you think too much about that,” Minogue said when discussing her career reflections. “I regret not speaking my mind on certain occasions, or feeling shy or not ready or not listening to my instinct.” She added, “Shoulda, woulda, coulda. We can only keep moving forward.” This candid admission showcases the challenges even seasoned artists face in navigating their careers.

While Minogue did not specify whether her regrets pertain to personal situations or broader societal issues, she has historically been somewhat reserved when it comes to political statements. However, she has long been a staunch advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. In a 2022 interview with GLAAD, she encouraged her queer fans, stating, “Keep up the noise [and] find the joy within the noise.” Minogue emphasized the importance of authenticity, urging her fans to “try to be the best version of our true selves,” highlighting her pride in being an ally to the LGBTQ+ community.

In her recent interview, Minogue also reflected on her early career, admitting that she didn’t foresee her longevity in the music business. “If I could go back in time, I’d tell myself, ‘Trust your instinct.’ Which I still tell myself today because often there are other noises, or you’re unsure or you don’t listen to yourself,” she said. She encouraged her younger self to “have fun,” acknowledging that while obstacles would arise, there would always be a way to navigate them.

Minogue’s resilience is evident in her continued success. She named her biggest career achievement as “that I’ve kept going. After all this time.” This tenacity has paid off, as she recently announced her first North American tour in 13 years, dubbed the Tension Tour. In her announcement, she expressed her excitement, stating, “I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the Tension era and more.” The tour will kick off next spring, covering both the U.S. and Canada.

The announcement of the Tension Tour follows a period of creativity for Minogue. With her latest album, *Tension*, she continues to push musical boundaries while remaining connected to her fanbase. “It’s been an exhilarating ride so far,” she remarked, teasing that fans should prepare for an unforgettable experience. “Get ready for your close up because I will be calling Lights, Camera, Action … and there will be a whole lot of Padaming!”
