Abby Lee Miller did not back down after her controversial comments on “high school football players’ received backlash.

The former Dance Moms star had a large amount of people online call out the instructor this week after she declared her attraction to the young men on Sofia Franklyn’s Sofia with an F podcast.

57-year-old Miller was discussing Tom Cruise’s famous white chocolate-coconut Bunt cake from Doan’s Bakery when a question regarding the 1983 movie All the Right Moves came about. The reality-star noted the Oscar nominee was a “high school football player’ in the film.

“Oh, that’s my downfall. I like the high school football players,” Miller continued. “I still like them.”

As Franklyn noted how she likes the adult “coaches,” Miller doubled down and said: “Not one that used to be in high school but one that is.” Franklyn then closed out the podcast episode immediately after that revelation.

On Monday night, the former Lifetime star posted a video on Instagram to respond to fans’ reactions to her comments. She stated in the video, “Hello everybody, Abby Lee Miller here just to set the record straight, mmhmm,” she began. “I do like those hot, athletic, muscular types of guys — the jocks. I always have and I always will.”

She went on to admit, “And they must be able to go out to a club, gamble in Vegas, rent an ADA-compliant, handicapped-accessible van. And they should also have a business, a bank account, success and passion in their own right.”

“Now,” Miller continued, “if you saw the movie All the Right Moves, starring Tom Cruise playing a high school football star, then you will know exactly what I’m talking about. And if you haven’t go watch it and then you’ll know.”

She closed out the video stating: “This November is my high school class reunion … and I hope that the heartthrob is there — but if he’s not, I heard Tom Brady’s available.”

Users on TikTok have continued to chime in on the situation with some coming to Miller’s defense with others claiming her comments were distasteful.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Miller stated, “I have really high standards and in my mind.” In the interview from 2017, the star noted noted that she feels younger than she actually is. “I’m like 22, 23, 24 … that’s like the age.”

But Miller still expressed her interest in finding love some day, adding, “I make decisions all day, so it’s nice for a woman like me to go to dinner and have the man take the menu and say, ‘Let me order. Other women would be offended by that but I’m like, ‘Good. Because I can’t make one more decision today.’ I want someone to rub my feet without being asked.”
