A brief history

This version of the game quickly rose in popularity, with higher winning chances and a unique spin on gameplay – the brothers had successfully boosted Hamburg’s economy. 

When French colonists sailed the single-zero wheel over-seas to American shores, the new variation didn’t become quite as popular, with both casinos and players preferring the riskier, higher house edge that came with the double-zero pocket, which later became known as American Roulette.
