Actress turned singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus is finally speaking out on her side of the story regarding several of her most controversial career moments, and her reason for stepping away from touring.
Cyrus dropped the emotionally charged “Used To Be Young” on August 25. The track loosely references Cyrus’ infamous VMAs performance and high profile departure from her Disney era on “Hannah Montana.” The singer’s new single is accompanied by an ongoing TikTok series, in which the singer delves deeper into numerous pivotal moments in her life.
Cyrus began the series by explaining her father, country singer Bill Ray Cyrus’, rise to fame in the music industry.

Following sharing the nostalgic video clips of her early career as a child actress, Cyrus got into the deeper ramifications of a lasting career in the entertainment industry. The singer previously stated prior to the release of her recent album “Endless Summer Vacation” that she had no plans to tour in support of the new music. In the new TikTok series, the singer elaborated on her reasoning.
Used To Be Young (Series) – PART 6
Cyrus essentially told viewers that she prefers to remain in her true ego state in honor to write raw and honest music. While fans were disappointed to learn that the singer would not be touring anytime soon, they appeared understanding about her logic.
Longtime fans of Cyrus and newer fans of the singer are learning more about her personal life through her TikTok series. Many are applauding Cyrus’ self reflection and evolving artistry. The singer began as a teen pop star with slight country and rock undertones due to her upbringing near Nashville, Tennessee. She now leans into classic rock and disco influences.
Touring is hard both physically & mentally You're away from your home going from town to town & you stay like 2-3 days max Traveling is tiring & then you have a show You're exhausted & can't even enjoy place where you are & being in front of big crowds must be hard for psyche too
