Shakira just sat down for a new interview on Hot Ones, and she even admitted a few juicy things in the conversation.

Sitting down having some of the spiciest wings, the “Whenever, Wherever” singer admitted she loves Family Guy so much, she reached out to creator Seth MacFarlane to help out with a translation of her 2009 hit “She Wolf.” The track was released in Spanish under the title “Loba,” but apparently the Colombian artist felt like she could use MacFarlane’s pen for the English-language version.

“I was a huge Family Guy fan and I always thought that he was so creative and so musical as well,” the singer told host Sean Evans. “I really admire the musical production of the show. So I looked for him, but then I ended up writing it myself. I found the right words, I found what I wanted to say.”

Shakira previously spoke about this very random almost-collaboration with Billboard back in 2023. “I wasn’t too sure about me writing the lyrics in English, and I reached out to Sia, and I asked her to write the lyrics in English for me,” she told the outlet,

Sia has written songs for the likes of Rihanna, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, and a host of other artists.

The star even wrote “Chasing Shadows” from Shakira’s self-titled 2014 album as well as “Try Everything” from the Zootopia soundtrack.)

Yet the singer admits, “I also reached out to Seth MacFarlane,” she added. “So I called him and said, ‘Seth, can you write some lyrics for ‘She Wolf’? I wasn’t very sure that I was able to write lyrics for the song. And they tried, they took a crack at them. But I ended up writing the entire lyrics… by the end of the day, it was all me.”

The ironic part is that the comedy series joked about Shakira’s lyricist with character Stewie claiming they were not the best. The song “I’ve Got A Little List,” was cut from the episode that aired on TV (“Lois Kills Stewie”) but was preserved on DVD.

Shakira even went on to admit during her interview that she often cringes at her past music. “I think used to overdo the cries in my voice. ‘Lo-le-lo-le-lo-le!’ it’s too much. I think it was exaggerated, a little bit rogue. Too much Shakira.”
