Popular singer-songwriter Jax has famously built a name for herself in the music industry after competing on “American Idol” and crafting humorous and relatable tracks that continue to attract a viral fan base on TikTok. The singer was married to her longtime fianceé Brave Gregg this week, and got the ultimate wedding surprise–a serenade from Sia.
The wedding was held in Scottsdale, Arizona. The couple first met at a music video shoot. Gregg works in the film industry as an editor and cinematographer. Jax told People “We were best friends first, accidental business partners in life and creative soulmates of each other.”
Jax, whose full name is Jaclyn Cole Miskanic, first began to pursue music professionally when she competed on “American Idol” in 2014. Though she did not wind up winning the season, she finished in third place, and continued to release new original music. She additionally studied at New York University in London, where she won the John Lennon Scholarship in songwriting via the BMI Foundation.
Since the inception of her career, Jax has shared humorous personal stories and created a supportive environment for young women on TikTok. Her hit song “Victoria’s Secret” marked her debut on the Billboard charts. The song details the impossible beauty standards women face in a patriarchal society. The track was written after Jax discussed her own battles with her eating disorder.
In 2021, the singer penned a song about her parents’ love story. When Sia appeared at her reception, she sang Jax’s track, titled “Like My Father,” moving her to tears during her father-daughter dance.

The couple were recently recognized for their creative Halloween costume. Jax captioned a video “did a Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce costume with my man,” and she dressed as a map while he dressed as Swift. Her now husband then took a photo of Kelce’s face and stuck it to Jax’s map. The punny creative take on one of the year’s most popular couples’ costumes immediately had the Kelce brothers cackling at the absurdity on their shared “New Heights” podcast.
