If You're a "Mad Men" Fan, This Supercut of "Next Time On..." is for You

Seth Meyers looks back on all the hilariously misleading and vague teasers

  • Fans of AMC's "Mad Men" are no doubt frothing to see the final episode of the prestige drama. Long-time fans have invested a lot in the lives of Don Draper and co. since the series premiered in 2007. If you're a fan, by now you're familiar with the beats of the show. Don loves to stare into space and make rash decisions. Pete Camball will always be an unctuous career-climber. And the "Next Time on Mad Mens" will always be horribly, horribly misleading and vague. It's a trope at this point, and "Late Night with Seth Meyers" hit the nail on the head with this segment.

  • This best-of collection rounds up the most banal, pointless and misleading one-liners ever to grace the end-of-episode teasers we've been watching over the years.

With the final episode set to air next week, this was a bittersweet tribute. As fans prepare to say good-bye, let's not forget to bid a fond farewell to the "Next Time on" segments. So, good-bye. You were never helpful, and sometimes it seemed like you were actively throwing out red herrings. But we'll miss you anyway, "Next Time On"s. This Old Fashion's for you.
