Stephen Colbert Decides the Fate of The Colbeard

Stephen Colbert has been off television for six months. That’s enough time to grow a magnificent beard. Sadly, that’s also enough time to grow attached to said beard, and when the executives at CBS tell Colbert to change his look (apparently Tom Selleck’s mustache has a non-compete clause), he has a tough choice to make. What will be the fate of The Colbeard? The video above has the answers.

Spoiler: He totally shaves the beard. Duh. Late night talk show hosts don’t have beards (unless there’s a writer’s strike going on.) But it’s great to see Colbert back on our screens — cracking jokes and ruining hot dogs. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert premieres on CBS September 8th.
