  • After a long cold Canadian winter, it’s only natural that residents of America’s neighbor to the north get a little excited once summer time rolls around. But that’s no excuse for what one man did in British Columbia recently. As you can see from the above video, a group of chuckleheads were riding on a speed boat when they spotted a moose nearby. As the boat closes in on the swimming animal, one man jumps off of the boat and on to the moose’s back. What follows is about twenty seconds of moose rodeo glory. What follows after that is going to be determined by a judge, because Canadian wildlife authorities are attempting to track down these dummies on animal harassment charges.

Under the British Columbia wildlife act, it is illegal to “worry, exhaust, fatigue, annoy, plague, pester, tease or torment” an animal. (Hunting is an exception.) The moose in this video is obviously being tormented. It also could have easily turned around and killed this fool. So the gang of yahoos in this video are most likely going to be facing a hefty fine.

The video itself, originally uploaded to Facebook and since taken down, was put on YouTube by concerned citizens, hence the description: “This moron is going to be charged with harassing wildlife. This is what NOT to do.”
