Occasionally we hear stories of a loyal dog who saves his owner's life by dragging him out of a fire or running to get help during a time of distress, but rarely is such a moment captured on film. The other day in Marin, California, a 93-year-old woman somehow sped her car in reverse onto the sidewalk where it barreled toward two unsuspecting victims who didn't see it coming. Luckily, the seeing eye dog with them did sense it coming.
"It was just an unbelievable sight to see something going backwards, barreling down the sidewalk," said Todd Jurek, a training supervisor for Guide Dogs for the Blind. He quickly herded the fellow employee and dog out of harm's way when he noticed the dog jerk its head to look behind them.
