Dave Hakkens was dismayed by the overwhelming amount of waste caused by discarded technology. So, he proposed a revolutionary product called Phonebloks, which is essentially a smartphone composed of customizable and detachable blocks, all attached to a center base.
He writes, "A phone only lasts a couple of years before it breaks or becomes obsolete. Although it's often just one part which killed it we throw everything away since it's almost impossible to repair or upgrade."
But he needs your help to gather developers and create "the best phone in the world." Are you into the idea? Make your voice heard on social media using #phonebloks and find out more information at Phonebloks.com.
