John Cena Has a Fourth of July Message About Love

And it's one for everyone to hear.

  • To many Americans, the Fourth of July symbolizes a time of hanging out with friends and family, firing up the grill, opening up some cold beers, and kicking back at the end of the night to watch the fireworks. But regardless of how you celebrate, this holiday is about America, and the Ad Council and John Cena want to help remind us what exactly America stands for.

In this simple but powerful ad, Cena walks us through a number of statistics about exactly who makes up the population of our country. And to what should be no one’s surprise, it’s quite a diverse group. But he wants us to ask ourselves what we think of when asked to imagine the “average American,” and then wants to challenge those notions. I’ll leave the rest to the video, but it’s worth a couple minutes of your time today.

How are you spending your holiday? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter @WhatsTrending.
